Well, this branch of the family tree needs some work. From Nancy forward, I have some pretty good information. But Nancy herself? Not much. That makes this a really short post!

Based on her census records, I estimate she was born about 1826.

  • 1850 census: 23 years old[1]
  • 1860 census: 33 years old[2]
  • 1870 census: 43 years old[3]
  • 1880 census: 54 years old[4]

She was surprisingly consistent on how old she said she was at the time of enumeration. Some women tend to get younger the further you dig into census records.

I don’t have her parental information, but I do know that her last name was Kimble, the same as her husband John Kimble‘s last name. His post has their children and a bit about their life together.

I don’t have their marriage date or where they were married.

I don’t have her death date or where she died or where she was buried.

My obvious next steps on her are to find her hatched, matched and dispatched records. I will definitely do another post(s) as I dig up further information.
