Etta Westra – Newton – Etta B. Westra, 100, died Friday at home.
Born in Germany, Mrs. Westra came to the United States in 1928 and lived in Little Falls before moving to Newton in 1931.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Newton.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Westra was predeceased by her husband, Albert, on March 20, 1995. She was also predeceased by two sons, John (1992) and Ewald (1997), and by two grandsons. Mrs. Westra is survived by two daughters, Martha Westra Strait of Lafayette and Lena H. Emanuel of Vernon; 13 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
